Scope and approach
The App is an alarm app that confirms completion of a wake-up route by scanning QR codes or barcodes at two configured checkpoints in order. Its core data, including alarm settings, registered codes, and wake-up records, is stored on your device.
Limited usage data for quality improvement and information required to process subscriptions is sent to external services for specific purposes. Sections 5 through 7 explain these transfers.
Information stored on your device
The App stores the following information on your device:
- Alarm settings: label, time, weekdays, enabled status, one-time date, and system alarm identifiers
- Wake-up route: the names and icons of two checkpoints and the text encoded in their registered QR codes or barcodes
- Wake-up records: scheduled time, scan time for each checkpoint, outcomes such as completion or safety release, your sleep-quality and wake-feeling ratings, and the time those ratings were recorded
- Progress and preferences: an active wake-up route, onboarding progress, completion count, and review-prompt status
The specific contents of this data are not uploaded to a server operated by us. If you use an iOS device backup such as iCloud Backup, Apple's operating-system features may include this data in your backup. We cannot access that backup.
Camera and code handling
The App uses the camera to register and verify QR codes or barcodes placed at your wake-up route checkpoints. It asks for iOS camera permission before use.
- Camera frames are analyzed in real time on your device.
- The App does not save camera images or video, or send them to us or an analytics service.
- Only the decoded text value is stored on your device for later verification.
AlarmKit and iOS features
The App uses Apple's AlarmKit to sound an alarm at your chosen time and let you open the wake-up route from system surfaces such as the Lock Screen. It asks for iOS alarm permission before use.
Alarm time, weekdays, alarm identifiers, and an identifier used to open the route are used to schedule and manage the alarm within iOS. Checkpoint names and registered codes are not passed to AlarmKit as display information. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to information handled by operating-system features such as AlarmKit and device backups.
Usage analytics
We use Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) to improve app quality, identify usability issues, and improve the user journey and subscription experience.
Information sent
- Screens viewed, onboarding progress, feature use, and whether an action succeeded
- Alarm and route readiness, number of registered codes, and bucketed completion counts
- Checkpoint order, scan outcome, route completion or abandonment reason, and bucketed elapsed time
- Whether a morning reflection was saved, history deletion, review-prompt requests, and similar interaction facts
- Paywall views, plan selection, purchase and restore outcomes, product ID, subscription period, trial status, and amount and currency when available
- An app-instance identifier generated by Firebase, Apple's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), and similar identifiers
- Technical information about the device, operating system, and App, session information, and diagnostics used to maintain SDK transport quality
- Coarse geographic information, such as country, region, and city, inferred from a masked IP address. The App does not use Apple's Location Services
Information not sent to analytics
- Checkpoint names, alarm labels, registered code values, or camera images
- Exact alarm or scan timestamps
- The values of your sleep-quality and wake-feeling ratings
Purchases and subscriptions
Paid plans for the App are offered through Apple's App Store. We use StoreKit to process purchases and RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to observe purchase status and support subscription operations.
- Payment details: Apple manages information such as your credit card number; we do not receive it.
- Information provided to Apple: product ID, purchase and restore requests, transaction information, and other data required for App Store payment and entitlement checks
- Information provided to RevenueCat: an anonymous in-app identifier, product ID, purchase and subscription status, receipt and transaction information, and technical app and device information
- Our analytics: purchase and restore outcomes, product ID, period, amount, and currency may be sent to Firebase Analytics
The App has no account registration, and we do not set your name or email address in RevenueCat. You can manage or cancel a subscription in the subscriptions settings for your Apple Account.
External services
The App uses the following external services to the extent necessary to provide and improve it:
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit / AlarmKit): app distribution, payment processing, purchase status checks, and system alarm scheduling and presentation
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): usage analytics
- RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.): observation of purchase and subscription status and subscription operations
Each provider's terms and privacy policy apply to its handling of information. We do not sell information we collect to third parties, except for disclosures required by law.
Processing outside Japan
Information sent through Firebase Analytics and RevenueCat may be processed or stored on servers outside Japan. We review the purpose and recipients of these transfers and handle the information appropriately under applicable law.
Security
We take reasonable organizational and technical measures appropriate to the purpose of processing to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, leakage, destruction, or damage. Information sent outside the device uses encrypted connections provided by the relevant external services.
Protection of data stored on your device also depends on your settings, such as a device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and keeping the operating system up to date.
Retention and deletion
- On-device data: retained while you use the App. You can clear wake-up history in the App, and deleting the App removes other on-device App data from the device.
- Device backups: data included in an iOS backup is governed by Apple's settings and retention periods.
- Analytics and subscription data: retained as needed for the purposes described here, legal requirements, and external-service retention settings, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
Your rights
Where provided by applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, suspension of use of, or deletion of personal information held by us. Please contact us using the details in Section 14. We will verify your identity and respond in accordance with applicable law.
Because the App has no account, we may be unable to identify analytics or subscription data recorded only under an anonymous identifier as belonging to you. We do not hold your on-device data, so use the App's deletion feature or delete the App to remove that data.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed at collecting personal information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes that a child's information has been sent to us through the App, please contact us using the details in Section 14.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy when the App's features, external services, or applicable laws change. If a change is material, we will provide notice on this page, in the App, or through another appropriate method. A revised policy applies when posted on this page.
