The App is designed around a single principle: the artwork you import never leaves your device. "Personal information" in this policy refers to personal information as defined under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and applicable laws.
Our core principle (privacy first)
The App turns imported manga pages into vertical (9:16) promo videos using only panning, zooming, pauses, and page turns. Importing pages, detecting panels, previewing, and exporting the video all happen entirely on your device. Your artwork, project titles, and panel coordinates are never sent to our servers or to any external service. Everything the App does with your artwork works fully offline.
The App does not use generative AI. It never generates art, restyles art, or alters your original pages. Panel detection uses only Apple's Vision framework (on-device contour detection), and its results stay on the device.
The only things we send off the device are anonymous usage data (facts about actions) used to improve the App's quality, and the information needed to verify your subscription status, as described below.
Information stored only on your device
The following is stored in the App's private storage on your device and is not sent to us or to any third party:
- Imported page images (from your photo library, from Files, or from a PDF)
- Detected and adjusted panel coordinates and reading order
- Project titles, end-card call-to-action text, and settings such as template and duration
- Exported video files
- App settings such as your free-usage counter, whether a review prompt has been shown, and the time of your first import (used only to calculate the "time to first export" described in section 3)
Information we collect (usage analytics)
To improve the App's quality, we collect anonymous usage data through Firebase Analytics (Google LLC). We collect only numbers and fixed tokens from a predefined set of options that describe "facts about actions" — never the contents of your artwork.
3.1 What we collect
- Feature events (for example: pages were imported / an import failed / panels were detected / panels were edited / a preview was played / an export started, completed, or failed / a video was shared / a video was saved to Photos / a paywall was shown / a purchase was started, completed, cancelled, failed, or restored / a purchase became pending approval), and which screen of the App you viewed
- Numbers and tokens attached to each event (page count, panel count, video duration in seconds, resolution (720 or 1080), reading-direction preset, how panels were placed (automatic detection or a manual preset), template type, free vs. paid, whether the paywall was able to display prices, whether you are eligible for the free trial, and the purchase plan identifier, amount, and currency)
- The elapsed time from your first import to your first completed export (in seconds, plus a range such as "under 1 minute / 1–3 minutes / 3–10 minutes / 10–60 minutes / over 1 hour"). This is sent only once per device and is capped at 24 hours.
- For a failed import, export, or purchase, a fixed error category indicating the cause (an internal type name rather than the error message text; it never includes filenames or paths)
- General usage statistics that Firebase collects by default, such as app launches, sessions, device type, OS version, and app version
- Your approximate region (Firebase derives a city-level location from a masked IP address. The App never uses your device's location services.)
3.2 What we never collect
- Imported page images or anything depicted in them
- Project titles or end-card call-to-action text
- The names of files you import, or the contents of exported videos
- Your name, email address, contact details, or anything else that identifies you
In-app purchases and subscriptions
The App is free to download and its core features are free to use. You can export up to 3 videos per month for free; beyond that, the paid "Creator Pro" plan (monthly or yearly, with a one-month free period on the yearly plan) makes exports unlimited. As the App Store determines, that free period applies only if you have not already used the free period for the same subscription group. Please check the App Store listing for current pricing. The paid plan also enables 1080p export and removes the "Made with" mark from the end card.
- Payment details: Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Payment details such as credit card numbers are handled by Apple; we do not receive them.
- Subscription status: Whether your plan is active, its type (monthly or yearly), and whether you are eligible for the free period are checked using the purchase information Apple's App Store provides (at app launch and when returning to the App, and immediately after a purchase or restore). We also use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives your purchase and subscription status along with an anonymous in-app identifier. It does not receive contact details such as your name or email address, or anything about your work.
- Purchase facts: The fact that a purchase was started, completed, cancelled, became pending approval, failed, or was restored is also recorded as an anonymous event in the usage analytics described above (and may include the plan identifier, amount, currency, and whether a free period was applied).
- Free usage allowance: The count of this month's exports is stored only on your device and resets automatically at the start of each month. We do not manage it on our servers.
Exporting, sharing, and saving to Photos
An exported video is first created in temporary storage on your device (a temporary folder private to the App). Its filename is based on the time of export and does not include your project title. At this point the video has not left your device. These temporary files are all deleted the next time the App launches, and when you start a new export, older files created more than 10 minutes earlier are deleted as well (that grace period keeps a file from disappearing while it is still being shared or saved to Photos). To keep an exported video, save it to your photo library or share it.
- Saving to your photo library: When you choose to save, iOS asks for permission to add to Photos. The App requests add-only permission; it never browses or reads your photo library.
- Sharing: When you choose to share, the standard iOS share sheet opens. You pick the destination (a social app, messages, a storage location, and so on) and the video is handed directly to it. It never passes through our servers. The project title you set is used as the preview title shown in the share sheet.
- What the video contains: The end card of an exported video renders the project title and call-to-action text you entered. Where you publish or share that video is entirely your decision.
What the App does not collect
The App does not use the following information or capabilities:
- Advertising or ad SDKs, advertising identifiers such as IDFA, and advertising attribution (AdServices / Apple Search Ads)
- Sending images or data to external AI / machine-learning APIs (such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, or Claude) — panel detection runs entirely on-device
- Generating or restyling art with generative AI, altering your original pages, or using your artwork for training
- Device location services (GPS and the like — the approximate region in §3.1 is inferred from an IP address, not from location services), contacts, microphone, camera, or push notifications
- Reading your photo library (add-only, and solely to save an exported video)
- Account registration (email address, password, or social sign-in)
- Syncing data through iCloud or CloudKit
Third-party services (disclosure and processors)
We use the following external services to the extent necessary to provide and improve the App:
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): anonymous usage analytics
- RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.): subscription status management
- Apple (App Store): app distribution, payment processing, and subscription status verification
International transfer
Some of the external services above operate servers outside Japan (for example, in the United States). As a result, usage data and subscription status may be processed and stored outside Japan. We handle such data appropriately in accordance with applicable laws. Your artwork and its contents never leave your device in the first place, so they are never transferred abroad.
Security
Keeping the most sensitive data — your artwork — on the device is itself the most reliable safeguard. Analytics data sent off the device contains nothing from your artwork, is anonymized, and is transmitted over encrypted connections. In the unlikely event of a leak involving information we handle, we will work to confirm the facts, investigate the cause, prevent recurrence, and take the steps required by law.
Retention and deletion
On-device data is retained for as long as you use the App. You can delete it at any time by deleting a project (which removes its folder including the page images) or by uninstalling the App (uninstalling erases the on-device data). Videos you saved to your photo library can be deleted by you from the Photos app.
The usage analytics we collect is retained for as long as necessary to achieve its purpose, and is appropriately deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
Your rights
You may request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or deletion of the information we handle. On-device data can be deleted from within the App, and subscriptions can be managed or canceled from your device's Settings (your Apple ID subscriptions). For other requests or questions, please contact us using the details below. After verifying your identity, we will respond as promptly as possible in accordance with the law.
Children's privacy
The App is not designed to collect personal information from a specific age group. No account registration is required, and imported artwork stays on the device. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy in response to changes in laws or the service. If there are significant changes, we will announce them on this page or on our website.
